Trish Eckhart was the wife of Hap Eckhart. She and Hap talked about an internal affairs investigation into some drug dealers he had beaten up, and they both decided that it would be best if Hap gave evidence to get out of the trouble he was in. However, Hap was sent to Nightmute to investigate the murder of Kay Connell and was shot. His partner Will Dormer phoned Trish and explained what had happened, and Trish told Dormer that he had to find the person who did it, and not to arrest him but avenge Hap's death.
