Michael Caine is an actor who has appeared in various roles in Christopher Nolan's films. He portrayed Alfred Pennyworth in the Batman series, as well as John Cutter in The Prestige, Stephen Miles in Inception, Professor Brand in Interstellar and had an uncredited cameo as the RAF Leader in Dunkirk. He is the actor who has appeared in the most films by Nolan, with a total of 7.
Caine has been acting since the 50s and 60s, and is famous for his distinctive cockney accent. He has been nominated for 6 Academy Awards, winning twice in 1986 and 1999. In 1992 he was awarded a CBE, and in 2000 he was knighted.
