Mahir assists The Protagonist and Neil during the break-in into Freeport by creating a distraction -- crashing a plane into the Freeport, triggering a lockdown.
During the operation to lift the algorithm from Stalsk-12, he accompanied Katherine to where Andrei Sator was, and was supposed to alert Katherine when the algorithm was lifted. Not much else is known about this character.
